Christmas Gift Box

This week our challenge is to create a Christmas gift box. There are so many types of boxes you can make for this challenge. I quite often at Christmas time give a box of cards or tags, or chocolates in my handmade box as a hostess gift. If you do a search at Splitcoaststampers on boxes there are over 50 different box tutorials that come up.

Some ideas that come to mind are:
  • box for a Christmas ornament
  • explosion box
  • card gift box
  • note box
  • treat box
  • box with drawers
  • stationary box

Come join us this week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenges and you will have one more item ready for Christmas.

Favorite Pick for the Heat Embossing Challenge

Before I give my reasons for picking Sylvia's card I'd like to say Great Job by all that participated in the challenge, you all made it very difficult to pick.

I chose Sylvia's card for the clean and simple layout, as well as for the icy wintery feel you get from the card, with the color scheme she chose. Congrats for being my pick for this week. Hope to see you again soon.

Heat Embossing

Hi Everyone, Cindy  here as your hostess this week and I've got a really simple challenge for you, I would like to see Some Heat Embossing on your Christmas Creation this week. I love using this technique and find I don't do it often enough. It gives the card such an elegant look, so that's why I decided to choose this technique this time around. I hope you will play along with us. Now onto the projects by the elves here at Holly Jolly.

Hello Everyone, thanks to those that played along with our challenge it was great to see all the creativity using my chosen theme this last week, Christmas angels.

My choice for the top pick and our winner's badge is Leslie.  I really like Leslie's original snowman angel.  The card makes me smile. I particularly liked the halo and the star filled purse.

Christmas Angels

Hello fellow crafters, Judy here, it is my turn to choose the theme for this week's challenge . When I think of Christmas I have very fond memories of the Christmas Angel we placed on the top of our tree every year. I also think of the many Christmas songs that we sang about the angels like "Angels We Heard on High" and "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing", so I thought Christmas Angels were a fitting theme for this week's challenge.

Need a little inspiration; here are the Holly Jolly Elves creations:

Congratulations Susie, please email Julie to find out how to get your prize - Julie_temple61@yahoo.com

Unfortunately we have had to exclude a number of entries this week from the random draw as their entry had been combined with more than 10 challenges.
This is not something that we like to do so we would like to ask everyone to check out our very small rule list next time – thanks!!
We look forward to you and your friends joining us again at our next challenge.

Acrostic Christmas Challenge

Hi everyone, it is Meighan here and I am hosting this weeks challenge, which is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.
Here is a little information on Bugaboo’s History:

As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of paper crafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago.

Today
Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and are still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!

If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug
